Project: Demographics Enslaved Population St. Eustatius at Emancipation (1863)

Request to Join a Focus Group for Evaluating an Online Report

We have been diligently working on making the 1863 registration of enslaved inhabitants from 14 plantations and several individual enslavers on St. Eustatius available online. Currently, we have completed the following plantations: Choice, Golden Rock, Industry, Schotsenhoek, the Farm, Williamstadt, and Fairplay. The registrations of enslaved inhabitants from individual enslavers and the remaining plantations are still pending.
